Dan Chambers, BAFTA-winning Animation Director.
Dan started out in comedy writing and performing on stage, radio and digital TV, where he learned his skills in timing and storytelling
Dan’s style is simple and playful, with the emphasis on comedy and funny characters.
He is proficient in Flash, CelAction and Photoshop on Mac and PC.
2005-2007 – Dan received a BAFTA for directing The Amazing Adrenalini Brothers Series 2 (78×7 minutes, a Pesky/Studio B/Bejuba Production for ITV/Cartoon Network)
He also directed Series 1 (10×2.5 min, CBBC) in 2002.
2004-2005 – Dan animated on the smash-hit preschool series Charlie and Lola (26×10 minutes, Tiger Aspect Productions for CBBC/Playhouse Disney)
He has also recently finished animating on series 3.
Dan has also directed many short animations, including The Pygmy Shrew (2000), one of the very first viral animation, described by The Independent as “some of the funniest animation available on the net”; animations for Sky’s Harry Enfield Microsite (2001); Tube Mice (2004, onedotzero, as part of the UK Film Council’s PULSE scheme) which featured on the Times and Independent newspaper coverdisks; The Fly Who Loved Me (2004, UNICEF’s online Christmas card) directing Sir Roger Moore who provided the voice of Santa; and an animated segment for stand-up Will Smith’s live show 10 Arguments I Should Have Won (2006).
In his spare time Dan likes to primp his full head of self-administered, curiously lush polymer BOUFFANTINE.
